Wig and Period Hair Styling - A selection of styles created using wigs, hairpieces and people's own natural hair, inspired by various periods in history, including men's hair cutting in a classic 50's style using the scissors over comb technique. I recently took a course with the very talented Julio Parodi at Creative Media Skills in his specialist area of Marcel Waving to create the beautiful and intricate styles of the 1920's and 1930's.

Facial Hair Application - Laying on Loose Hair & Lace Pieces - I had also taken a course in laying on facial hair with another expert in their field the brilliant Ken Lintott at Creative Media Skills who has had an amazing career. It's an extremely useful technique to know especially with HD filming, lace edges can pick up on camera, laying on loose hair to create a full beard and moustache or laying on hair over the edge of a lace piece creates a very natural and believable effect.

There was already a sharp, modern beard but I filled it in with loose hair to give a natural finishand a new shape
